I love to tell stories. Stories of all shapes and sizes. Headlines, copy, newsletters, SEO, not to mention film and television. Every medium provides a different opportunity and challenge for crafting compelling narratives. I love the challenge.
I also love ice cream, and lots of other stuff. Just, you know, so you don’t think I’m some square who only loves meeting challenges head on, or who only loves storytelling. Although, I do love stories. And I love stories about ice cream. Stories about all foods are great. Jack Donaldson
is an award show watching writer for film & television, as well as for several national brands and publications. In film, most recently Jack wrote the animated feature Scoob! released by Warner Bros. In TV, he wrote the pilot THE GRANDPARENT WAR which was sold and developed at 20th TV with Milo Ventimiglia producing, and the animated children's show THE ADVENTURES OF DEEDEE, which is at HBO with Issa Rae producing.
As a copywriter, Jack has worked on campaigns for Gamefam, Wolf vs Goat, Chewy, and Diageo.
As an author, Jack has written several Children’s books as well as pieces for The Huffington Post and Popular Mechanics.
Separately, Jack’s most interesting non-writing job was doing landscaping in Central Park, a job he was fired from four weeks in and that left him with no real fallback from a career in the humanities. A former college baseball player, he's in steadfast denial about how his body is breaking down and still plays in a league on Saturdays. He's also very bad in the heat and fainted at his own wedding.
